Taehyung spend a day with an ARMY in Seoul
BTS's Kim Taehyung aka V recently surprised a fan by spending an entire day with her. This heartfelt gesture was part of the promotional schedule for his upcoming solo debut 'Layover'. The entire surprise was featured in a recent episode of the online show Dingo Story.
Dingo Story, the platform for this heartwarming episode, operates on a beautiful concept. Loved ones can request a surprise meeting between someone going through a challenging time and their favorite celebrity. Hayoung, the lucky fan in this episode, had the opportunity of a lifetime to meet her idol V, making her dream come true.
The episode commenced with Taehyung patiently waiting for the unsuspecting fan at a restaurant. As they met, the overjoyed fan doubted whether she was meeting the real V or just a hologram. In a lighthearted moment, V, also known as the 'Love Me Again' singer, dispelled her doubts by eating noodles right in front of her. "I was dreaming of a day like this, spending a day with ARMY," he confessed to the camera.

The pair went on to bond over arcade games, clicked Polaroid photos, and had heartfelt conversations. A particular moment that stood out was when V expressed, "You really smiled a lot today, and that's why I was feeling great too." The day culminated with V escorting the fan to her drop-off location, showcasing their matching purple charms, and parting with a heartfelt hug that left the fan emotional. V even posted the film of their Polaroid photos on his Instagram stories and told the ARMY that he would cherish these memories forever.
In touching post-credits scenes, viewers witnessed the fan overwhelmed with emotions, and crying inconsolably as her time with V came to end. Members of the Dingo Story cast and crew tried to comfort her. Yet, in a sweet twist, V made a return to bid her a final farewell, leaving her with a radiant smile. He once again thanked her for spending time with him and gently patted her back, saying 'It's okay.'
Taehyung took to Instagram to share glimpses of their day, using the heartwarming event to also promote 'Layover', which is set to release on September 8, 2023. Reflecting on the day, he sincerely said, "Thank you for liking me. I hope you don't have a hard time, always be healthy, and I hope you always have good days and good things to look forward to."
BTS is known for sharing a bond akin to friendship with their massive global fanbase, ARMY. They even have several songs that pay a tribute to this relationship, such as 'Magic Shop' and '2! 3!' known as fan songs. Despite anomalies like an ARMY pulling on Taehyung's hair when he attended CELINE's boutique re-opening in Tokyo recently, it's moments like the Dingo Story surprise that truly resonate with fans worldwide.
