You are my love: Newcomer Jeevan pairs up with Saritha Jainu00a0 in Datta's Machcha
Machcha is finally ready for release on April 10 and director Datta is a relieved man. "I never thought making a film would be this challenging," said Datta, who reportedly received threats from rowdies for "borrowing" their don's nickname in the film's title!
The film, which traces the journey of an underworld don, has 90 scenes shot in 76 locations across Karnataka.
The music highlights include Steppu Guru, a street song; Ganesha, for which a 21-ft statute of the elephant god was erected on the sets; and an item number featuring Mumbai girl Sumana Chakravarthi.u00a0
The film has Jeevan, a newcomer, and Sarita Jain in the lead roles.
