Yogish's new film Punda is a remake of the Tamil film Polladhavan, which was released last year. The first cut of the movie took place on Thursday at Kanteerava Studio. This is Meghana Raj's debut film in Kannada.u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0
Yogish plays Danush's role and Meghana plays Ramya's role from the original.u00a0

It was rumoured that Ramya would act in the Kannada version of the film too. But Punda co-producer Kuppuswamy said, "Ramya looks older to Yogish. She has appeared as heroine with senior stars like Darshan, Sudeep, Puneeth and others."
