The director of Aditi Rao Hydari's film Sufiyum Sujatayum, Naranipuzha Shanavas, passed away late Wednesday evening. According to reports, Shanavas suffered a cardiogenic shock on the sets of his upcoming film Gandhirajan.
Aditi Rao Hydari shared a heartfelt tribute for the director on Instagram. Sharing a few photos, Aditi wrote, "As kind and sensitive as his stories... Rest in Peace Shanavas sir. I Hope your Sufi soul finds a place as beautiful as the one you created for us in Sufiyum Sujatayum. Gone too soon. My Prayers and condolences to the family."
The producer of Sufiyum Sujatayum, Vijay Babu, too posted a tribute on social media. He wrote, "We tried our best for u shaanu... love u lots."
Shanavas made his debut with 'Karie', which was released in 2015. His second film Sufiyum Sujatayum was released this year.
Speaking of Sufiyum Sujatayum, the film touched a lot of hearts with it's magical and musical romantic-drama narrative. The film has a stellar cast of Jayasurya who plays the role of Rajeev, Dev Mohan who plays the role of Sudfi, and Aditi Rao Hydari, who plays the role of Sujata, a mute girl.
Talking about her debut Malayalam film, Aditi Rao Hydari said in an interview, "The fact that people are liking it and watching it multiple times, the kind of messages and artwork on the film that we receive, are really amazing. The film is being watched by non-Malayali audiences, who told us that we will watch more Malayalam films now."
