Actor Mohan, known for playing supporting roles in Tamil films, has passed away. The actor was found dead on the streets of the Thiruparankundram area of Madurai, Tamil Nadu, according to several reports. Mohan hails from Mettur, Salem district.
The actor, known for playing comedic roles, was 60. He acted in many successful Tamil films. Mohan's most notable works include Naan Kadavul starring Arya and Kamal Haasan's Apoorva Sagodharargal.
Reports suggest that the actor was struggling to get film opportunities. After moving from his hometown, the actor allegedly used to beg on the roads due to lack of money. Locals found him lying dead on the road and reported to the police on July 31. The actor was in such a dishevelled state that he was not recognisable, according to reports. As per reports, the police sent Mohan's body to Madurai Government Hospital for an autopsy.
Mohan reportedly has two brothers and three sisters, who live in his hometown, Salem. His mortal remains were sent to his family members after the post-mortem. His wife reportedly passed away 10 years ago, and since then, he made a living out of begging, reported DNA.

Mohan shot to fame after his role of best friend of superstar Kamal Haassan's character, Appu, in 'Apporva Sagodharangal', a massive hit in 1989. The film was directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao while Kamal and Crazy Mohan wrote the screenplay and dialogues, respectively. In 2009, Mohan acted in another notable film, Bala's Naan Kadavul, which also starred Arya and Pooja. The film was a major hit, too. The film is based on the Tamil novel Yezhaam Ulagam by Jeyamohan, who also penned the dialogues for the film.
