Veteran director Tatineni Rama Rao (T Rama Rao) passed away at 84 on Tuesday night in Channai. He had been suffering from multiple health issues and was admitted to Sriramchandfa Medical College in Chennai. His last rites will take place on April 20.
Rama Rao directed several Hindi and Telugu films, In 1966, he made his directorial debut with the Telugu film 'Navarathri Dorababu,' 'Aalumagalu,' 'Pachani Kapura,' 'Naseeb Apna Apna,' 'Watan Ke Rakhwale' and 'Jeevana Tarangalu' were among his popular films. NT Ramarao and Jayaprada starrer blockbuster titled 'Yamagola' was one of his best known films.
Actor Anupam Kher tweeted 'Deeply saddened to know about the demise of veteran filmmaker & a dear friend Shri #TRamaRao ji. I had the privilege of working with him in #AakhriRaasta and #Sansaar!! He was compassionate, commanding & had a great sense of humour. My condolences to his family! Om Shanti!'
