Vijay Deverakonda is actively involved in charity and making donations. Recently, the actor announced that he will be donating Rs. 1 crore from his remuneration for Kushi to 100 families in the next 10 days. He promised to give each family a cheque worth Rs. 1 lac.
Vijay said at Kushi's success event in Visakhapatnam, "You are happy and I am happy. I am thinking of something and I don't know if I can pull it off or whether its right or wrong. But, if I don't do it, I'll be sleepless. To spread joy with you guys, I will donate Rs 1 crore from my âKushi' salary to 100 families. I shall select 100 families in need and present them with a Rs 1 lac cheque each in the next 10 days. My success, my happiness and my salary should be shared with you all."

After Vijay's announcement, Abhishek Pictures, the distributor of World Famous Lover (2020), reacted on X, formerly known as Twitter. The firm tweeted, "Dear @TheDeverakonda, We lost 8 crs in the distribution of #WorldFamousLover, but no one responded over it!! Now as you are donating 1CR to the families with your big heart, Kindly requesting & Hoping for you to save us and our Exhibitors & Distributors families also. Thank you Yours, Abhishek Pictures."
Kushi, also starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, released on September 1. The film entered the 70-crore club worldwide. After the release, Vijay went to the Yadadri Temple with his family to seek blessings. Sharing pictures on social media, he wrote, "My Family has been blessed this year with lots of love & Kushi. Visited the most beautiful Yadadri temple to offer our gratitude with our families. When I was told of the powerful nature of the temple - I prayed for all of you. You all deserve utmost happiness and success!"
Vijay tweeted on September 1, "You all waited for 5 years, with me. Patiently waiting for me to do my thing! We did it. Today!! :) Waking up to this happiness from all around and my phone to hundreds of messages. I cannot help but tear up with emotions. I love you all.
