Ever since news of Kapil Sharma taking a break from 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' has come in, several Bollywood names, including that of Arjun Kapoor, have been doing the rounds to replace him. However, Arjun has dismissed these rumours


Ever since news of Kapil Sharma taking a break from 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' has come in, several Bollywood names, including that of Arjun Kapoor, have been doing the rounds to replace the stand-up comedian in the show. However, Arjun Kapoor took to Twitter on Monday to dismiss those reports.

Arjun Kapoor tweeted, "Have woken up to random things before in the media...but this is a different level...they have attached my name to be part of comedy nights"

He further wrote, "I love television in India & @KapilSharmaK9. I remain a fan of the show as a viewer...that's it not gonna host episodes. #randomnewsday !!!"

According to a report in PTI, actors Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and Arjun Kapoor, along with director Sajid Khan, were likely to step into Kapil Sharma's shoes for 'Comedy Nights With Kapil' if the stand-up comedian does not recover soon from slip disc. (Read more)

Kapil, who suffered the injury while working out, is most likely to remain out of action for a couple of weeks.
