TV actress Rupal Patel has apparently threatened to not shoot until her pending dues to the tune of Rs 1.25 crore are cleared

Ever since it went on air in May 2010, daily soap 'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya' has hardly been free of trouble, be it cast changes from time to time or battling low TRPs once in a while. Now the latest buzz is actress Rupal Patel, who plays Kokila, is upset with producer Rashmi Sharma for allegedly failing to clear her dues of Rs 1.25 crore.

A source says, "Rupal has been awaiting payment for the last few months; the total outstanding amount is somewhere around Rs 1.25-1.5 crore. Now she has put her foot down and threatened not to report to the sets until her dues are cleared."
When we got in touch with the actress, she chose to remain mum. "No comments on this, please" was her response to our text message.
However, Vishal Singh, who plays Jigar on the show, says, "Payment is the best thing about Rashmi Sharma Telefilms; they are almost always on time. I have never had any problems with them personally."
Producer Sharma did not respond to our calls or messages.
