Many people feel he has a striking similarity with Shah Rukh Khan. When asked about it he says, "Over a decade ago when I went to Los Angeles for my cousin's wedding, a lot of people told me about this. Later when I went to Australia for further studies, college friends used to tell me the same thing." He adds, "I am flattered when people compare me with him.
