Actor Karanvir Bohra, who's known for his work in serials like 'Qubool Hai' and 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay', has recently joined the cast of Ekta Kapoor's upcoming sequel to her 2015 supernatural drama series, 'Naagin'. But despite being elated about bagging the project, the actor laments that the project keeps him from spending sufficient time in Canada with his pregnant wife, actress Teejay Sindhu, who is pregnant with the couple's first child.

"I am supposed to spend time with her, but I am busy with the shooting of 'Naagin 2'. Nonetheless, I intend to be with her during the time of delivery and have told the production house about the same," informs the actor, adding that his wife, who intends to be in Canada for another three to four months, isn't upset with his absence.

"Teejay understands that I have to work. But I plan to take off to Canada every month for at least a week or 10 days, until she returns to Mumbai," he informs. The duo tied the knot in 2006, when Bohra was working on Kapoor's television drama, 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay'. "Balaji (the production house) gave me a four-day leave - two days for the wedding and another two for the honeymoon. Someone from the production was waiting outside the airport to take me to the sets as soon as I landed," recalls the actor.

The couple has waited for over 10 years to welcome a new member into the family, who should arrive anytime next month. "We always felt our relationship needed to grow before we could think about becoming parents. Otherwise, it could have become chaotic. We married pretty young; I just turned 34," says the actor. Prod him on whether he wants a daughter or son, and he says, "I want a girl first because having an elder sister is better. Elder brothers are not a good thing. Guys don't have brains; women are way more intelligent, smarter and emotional," he smiles.
