Anurag Kashyap, the creative director of the show, decided that the artists would go for the no make-up look.
Big B, who plays real estate baron Yudhisthir Sikarwar on the show, said: "Keeping in mind that it was a directorial decision to make visuals look as real-life as possible, it was essential that the actors looked natural."
"That helped in the way our scenes were lit up and there were no special efforts to conceal defects, if any, on our faces.
These factors work well in the overall look of the product," said Big B in a statement.
"Yudh", due to go on air in July on Sony Entertainment Television, is Big B's first fiction show for TV. He is joined by the likes of Sarika, Kay Kay Menon and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the cast of the show.
