Sumit Kaul to play the antagonist in Imtiaz Ali's Laila Majnu

Sumit Kaul, who is currently portraying the role of Justin in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, has played a lot of negative characters in films as well. The actor has been a part of huge projects like Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai where he played Chhota Rajan, and Haider, where he donned the role of Salmaan.

After playing such variant roles, the actor garnered a lot of attention with when he played a mastermind Mehfooz Alam in Mulk, starring Rishi Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, and Prateik Babbar. Finally, Sumit Kaul has bagged his first full-fledged role as the antagonist in Imtiaz Ali's Laila Majnu.

Quite elated about bagging a role like this, Sumit stated, "People sent hate messages after watching Mulk. It felt nice. My role in Laila Majnu is close to my heart as it helped me evolve as an actor."
