Salman Khan in Bigg Boss 17
The 17th season of Bigg Boss premiered on Sunday on Colors and JioCinema. Amid much excitement and enthusiasm for the reality show hosted by Salman Khan, celebrity participants began the race for the trophy.
Bigg Boss 17 went on air with 17 contestants. The show has two couples, ex-flames and multiple single participants. As Bigg Boss 17 begins, here's looking at the contestants competing for the trophy. Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain
Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain are among the most popular couples of television. They tied the knot in December 2021 after dating for a couple of years. Ankita and Vicky took special vows on the stage in front of Salman Khan.
Mannara Chopra
Mannara Chopra, known for working in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada films, is the cousin of actresses Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra. Mannara has worked in Hindi films such as Zid.
Munawar Faruqui
Comedian Munawar Faruqui lifted the trophy of Lock Upp season 1 hosted by Kangana Ranaut. He has been in controversies and drama over the years, ranging from his arrests to his undisclosed marriage.
Neil Bhatt and Aishwarya Sharma Bhatt
Aishwarya Sharma and Neil Bhatt first met on the sets of their daily soap, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. They played the lead pair. The couple got married in November 2021. Aishwarya left the show this year to explore different opportunities. She participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi 13.
Jigna Vora
Former crime reporter Jigna Vora, whose life was showcased in the digital show Scoop by Hansal Mehta, will be seen in the Salman Khan-hosted show. Vora was jailed for reportedly being involved in the murder of another senior journalist. She penned her experience as a biographical memoir Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison, on which Scoop was based.
Rinku Dhawan
She has been in the industry for 25 years and is best known for playing Chhaya Aggarwal in Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii. She has also been a part of Yeh Vaada Raha, Gupta Brothers, and Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha amongst others.
Isha Malviya and Abhishek Kumar
Isha Malviya and Abhishek Kumar fell in love on the set of their show, Udaariyaan. Reports also claimed that they preferred spending a lot of time together off-camera. However, when Abhishek quit the show, they reportedly disassociated from each other. Their hashtag on the internet was Abhisha. On Bigg Boss 17, Isha accused him of not treating her well.
Arun Mashetty
Arun Srikanth Mashetty is known for his YouTube channel, Achanak Bayanak Gaming. He is based in Hyderabad. For the first time, a Hyderabadi contestant has been roped in for Hindi Bigg Boss.
Khanzaadi
Khanzaadi is an Indian rapper and songwriter in India. Her claim to fame was the show MTV Hustle 2.0. Khanzaadi's real name is Firoza Khan.
Sunny Arya
Sunny is a comedian popular for sharing humorous videos on his YouTube channel, Tehelka Prank. Although he entered the entertainment industry in 2019, he gained instant recognition.
Soniya Bansal
Soniya Bansal is an actress who acted in Shakti Kapoor's film Game 100 Crore Ka, and the South Indian film Dheera. She has been part of several music videos for T-Series and Zee Music Company, among other labels one of those is Zindagi Do Roz Ki. Soniya was also part of the Disney+ Hotstar series Shoorveer where she played the role of Rimi Choudhary.
Sana Raees Khan
Sana Raees Khan is a criminal lawyer from Mumbai, who argues cases in the Bombay High Court and the Supreme Court. She was a part of Aryan Khan's drugs on-cruise case.
Anurag Dobhal
Known by the name of UK Rider, Anurag Dobhal is a social media influencer, prominent motovlogger and YouTuber. He initiated his YouTube channel in January 2018.
Navid Sole
Navid Sole is the only international contestant of Bigg Boss 17. He is a self-confessed TV personality, who hails from UK and is half-Italian and half-Persian. He runs pharmacy stores in the UK.
