Television actor Abhishek Nigam is currently seen the lead in 'Hero: Gayab Mode On'. On the occasion of Navratri, the actor spoke to mid-day.com and shared his plans for the festival.
Recalling fond memories about Navratri, Abhishek says, "To me, Navratri has always been about decorating the mandir, eating great saatvik food and spending quality time with my family. I have grown up watching my mother truly believe in this festival as we celebrate it with enthusiasm, and she keeps fasts for the nine days."
"I love the food my mother cooks during the festival, and sabudana khichdi tops my list. Navratri brings positivity, and I really believe in the power and blessings of Maa Durga," he adds.
When asked about how he plans to celebrate Navratri this year, Abhishek says, "This year too, the preparations for Navratri have begun at my place. I am very excited and looking forward to celebrate this auspicious occasion with my loved ones. I make sure to keep a fast on the first and the ninth day as it makes me feel closer to my culture and rituals. I wish my fans a pleased Navratri and hope that Goddess Durga showers all her blessings and love to all of you!"
