Karanvir Sharma and Debattama Saha
As Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani completes a year, Karanvir Sharma discusses his favourite scenes from the show in a candid chat with mid-day.com.
The most intense scene in the show?
Honestly every scene has been very emotional and intense. Shaurya has not been an easy character, the intensity, the spark that he has, the different levels and the variations that the character has, it was very difficult to do it. Initially I thought it was a piece of a cake but it was quite difficult. The most challenging scene or shot for me was when I just recovered from Covid and it was about just two characters and everybody the fans were looking forward to Shaurya's re-entry. The channel said âWe have to give enough of screen time for Shaurya and we want the story to only concentrate predominantly on Shaurya and Anokhi.' I remember this scene where I had a very aggressive proposal. I finally decide when I know that Anokhi is leaving me and I want to get married to her. It was an emotional scene for me and physically also I was not in the pink of health that time. It was just post my recovery and I was getting there so that scene was physically and mentally really hard for me. Besides that I feel every other scene is very important for me.
Your favourite romantic scene?
My favourite romantic scene would be anything in college. Anything that used to happen in college, like Shaurya used to tease Anokhi and do things in college dorm and all these college moments are my favourite.
A scene that made you emotional?
There is this one scene in the end of the show where I finally tell my parents that I am leaving the house and going. They try to stop me and I say there's no point, this girl is been relentlessly working hard for you and trying to cope up with the family but what have you guys done! You don't care about education, you run such a big institution but what do you believe in when you are at home? You don't believe in girl power or women equality but only your reputation. So this whole scene that we take you through it, trust me it just happened, it was rigid in a certain way but all emotional and all of us got emotional as we knew we were wrapping the show and they all complimented me that scene was brilliant and all of us knew that this was ending so eventually everyone was really emotional.

A scene that made you laugh?
I used to love messing around with the cast having fun with them, Tej bhaisaab and Alok and all the lovely actors. It really used to make us laugh. Behind the scenes masti is all what we use to laugh on. But a scene that really made me laugh would be there's this scene which is very cute where Anokhi tells a guy who is sucking his thumb she says âChal bhag yaha se itna bada ho gaya hai abhi bhi angutha chusta hai' so this was one of the my favourite scenes.
