Mame Khan
The Rajasthani folk track Kesariya balam may have undergone several iterations since its release, and also became a household number after being a prominent part of the successful TV offering, Balika Vadhu. But, Mame Khan believes that the song is versatile enough to make each iteration memorable. Khan, whose previous version of the track received much acclaim, is back with another take. "This one has a different flavour. While the original song is one that showcases Rajasthani [people] welcoming guests, and extending their greetings to them, this is purely a love song."
Certain that the video will also win the favour of listeners, he highlights that the lyrics describe the "sweetness of the romance between two individuals". "We have two beautiful antaras in this one - one of which is based on a girl who aches for her lover to return."

In keeping with the love for dance music that young listeners appreciate, this song, he says, showcases the traditional Rajasthani folk dance, Ghoomar. "[The Indian instrument] sarangi, and the santoor have also been used. We've kept the state's culture in mind while preparing this song."
