Rannvijay Singha's 18 year-journey of Roadies ends, actor says 'It's disheartening'

Talking about the same, the actor said things didn`t work out between him and the channel and how he sees his journey on the show

Rannvijay Singha was the first winner of the immensely famous reality show Roadies on MTV. He then went on to be the host for over 18 years. People began knowing him because of his stint on the show that he saw growing in terms of popularity. All good things come to an end and so has his journey after 18 years.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, he said, "The channel has been a key pillar of my journey and I'll be doing interesting work with them. On this edition of Roadies, things didn't work out from both sides. Our dates were not matching and it is disheartening," he shares. Clarifying that there were no issues with the production house."

He added, "I've been working with the channel for 18 years. I've done different shows with the network." Sonu Sood, who has turned into the messiah of the nation post his humanitarian work during the pandemic, surely has a tall order to live up to as he replaces him as the new judge.

The actor has been married to Prianka Vohra for over six years. The couple is blessed with a daughter named Kainaat. They embraced parenthood again as Vohra has given birth to a baby boy last year in July.

The news was announced by Singha on his Instagram account in a rather unique way and congratulations were in order from the industry friends and fans. Neha Dhupia wrote, along with multiple hearts, "Yayyyy!!!! Best news ever. congratulations Rann , Pri n Kai...." [SIC] Nikhil Chinapa stated, "Congratulations guys!!! Sending you all our love for Kai's little brother and the new addition to your lovely family." [SIC]
