Zee TV has been a pioneer and a trend-setter in shaping television content over the past three decades and once again, it seems to be changing the face of music reality shows with its latest non-fiction property, the Indian Pro Music League (IPML). While the world of sports has seen several league competitions, this unique music league has six teams representing different regions of India, battling it out against each other in a musical championship.
Each of these six teams supported by leading Bollywood and sports celebrities has top playback singers as their captains, one reality show star, one all-rounder, and one fresh voice. After a mind-blowing Super Match between all the six teams, this Sunday's episode will witness the first league match of the fourth innings of the Indian Pro Music League with team Mumbai Warriors taking on team Punjab Lions.
While the competition will heat up with both the teams putting their best foot forward, Punjab Lion's captain Mika Singh will lighten up the mood as he shares a funny memory with AR Rahman. After an enthralling performance to âHeer Toh Badi Sad Hai', he revealed a funny anecdote from an award function that actually helped him get this song. The Punjabi superstar joked how his English has always been weak, but at the award function, he tried to speak in English and ended up making a major blunder in front of AR Rahman. But fortunately, he still managed to bag a song from him.

As Mika Singh revealed, "My biggest weak point is my language, I am not someone who can speak fluent English but at an award function I tried to speak in English, and I messed up. What I wanted to say was âI would love to work with Rahman Sir,' but I ended up saying âRahman Sir would love to work with me.' It was an awkward and embarrassing moment for me, but I guess Rahman Sir understood me, and hence, he gave me the song âHeer Toh Badi Sad Hai' and together we created a chart-breaking version of an emotional song."
While Mika's hilarious blunder will make you laugh, you cannot miss the musical battle between Mumbai Warriors and Punjab Lions as they go all out to win the league match. To witness such wonderful moments and some incredible performances, tune into the Indian Pro Music League, every Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm, only on Zee TV
