Aamna, who made her TV debut with the show Kahiin Toh Hoga, soon became a household name and was loved for her charming personality. Considering that the show was her first-ever TV stint, Aamna's acting was impressive and the show was well-liked by the audience

Aamna Sharif married her distributor-turned-producer boyfriend Amit Kapoor in 2013 after a year of dating. A source had revealed to mid-day, "Aamna has kept a low profile of late, avoiding the social circuit. Their romance was a well-kept secret. But she has known Amit for a while now. They are serious about each other"

Amit Kapoor is producer Shabnam Kapoor's son. Aamna Sharif was frequently linked with Kahiin Toh Hoga co-star Rajeev Khandelwal at that time. Aamna and Amit welcomed their baby boy Arain in 2015

After Kahiin Toh Hoga, which continued from 2003 to 2007, Aamna was then seen in the TV show Hongey Judaa Na Hum as Muskaan Mishra. She also acted in a few films in the interim namely Aloo Chaat (2009), Aao Wish Karein (2009), and Shakal Pe Mat Ja (2011)

How beautiful is this picture of Aamna with her cutie pie! The actress shared the child's photo on Instagram and announced his name to the world saying, "His every wish is our command... My little Master Arain"

Aamna Sharif was on an extended hiatus from television until now. She said in a chat with IANS, "I would love to be attached to television. It's just that it requires a lot of time; so I want something that is good and suitable. TV was the one that gave me recognition and I would definitely take up if something interesting comes my way (sic)"

After her 2013 show Ek Thhi Naayika, Aamna then signed Ekta Kapoor's Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2 to play the iconic Komolika. It was interesting to see how Aamna handled the role of an antagonist after being loved for her role as Kashish in Kahiin Toh Hoga

Aamna is a seasoned actress now and has transformed herself both personally and professionally. Just look at this picture of her! Doesn't she look absolutely fit and fabulous?

Aamna Sharif has won a few awards for her TV roles. She has won Best Fresh New Face (Female) and Style Icon of the Year (Female) for Kahiin Toh Hoga, and Favorite Comeback on Television for Hongey Judaa Na Hum

Aamna Sharif sure has transformed from the adorable girl-next-door to a fabulous diva who's not afraid to get out of her comfort zone. And her stint as Komolika proved that. She said in an interview, "Of course, as an actor, you want to play all shades. It's really exciting when you come across something that can surprise your audiences. It's always exciting to expect the unexpected"

And did she have any qualms about taking up a negative role? Aamna shared, "I had briefly played a grey character in Ek Villain and when Komolika was offered I felt it was a good opportunity to flesh out that aspect of an actor too. And on a lighter note, my first thought was as Kashish I've cried enough, it's high time I make others cry. I would really hope that I do an entertaining portrayal and that the audiences accept it in a similar emotion"

"It's not easy to recreate such an iconic role. Both Urvashi Dholakia and Hina Khan have portrayed it so beautifully that I can't take this role for granted..."

"They made the character so popular that the audience will look up to me with more expectations, and I don't want to let them down. There is a lot of pressure on my shoulders. I am trying my level best to do justice to the role," Aamna told IANS

Here's wishing a very happy birthday to Aamna Sharif!
