Aditya Seal
Things have been looking up for Aditya Seal, who grabbed eyeballs with his big bully act in Student Of The Year 2. Even as he finds his feet in Bollywood, the actor is happy to dip a toe in the water of digital entertainment with Zee5 and ALTBalaji's Fittrat.
"Producer Tanveer [Bookwala] convinced me to come on board the project. I had seen Santosh Singh's [director] work before. It barely took me two minutes to give my nod," says Seal, who shares screen space with Krystle D'Souza and rumoured girlfriend Anushka Ranjan in the romantic drama. Juggling two mediums early on in his career may be tricky, but he reasons that OTT platforms are a tempting proposition for artistes. "I have been intending to venture into the web space for a while. Films have [creative] restrictions, but digital entertainment has fewer barriers."
If all goes well, Seal will be seen in another web original before the year winds to a close - the actor reveals he is part of Priyadarshan's film for Netflix. "We've wrapped up the shoot of the suspense drama. The story revolves around a man who falls in love with a married woman, but there is a lot more to it," he says, adding that working with the reputed filmmaker has been akin to going to a film school.
"He didn't give us the script until we reached the set. As an artiste, I need to prepare for my roles, but with sir, things are different. He told me that all I had to do was trust him. Once I reported on the set, he said I have to copy what he is doing."
