Govind Namdev: I want to do more grey characters on web

Veteran actor Govind Namdev known for playing the villain in movies like Oh My God and Bandit Queen will be seen on the web platform through the web series The Red Land on Gemplex originals releasing on October 14.

"I'm essaying the role of az powerful family head. He is a powerful person who snatches people's property. But is not happy in his personal life because he has traumatic married life since not satisfying his wife and his wife getting into affair with his younger brother even though him having so much power. It's a very grey character. So there is such kind of complexity in his life where he has power but still has trauma in personal life," said Namdev who was last seen in Main Zaroor Aaunga.

On sharing his experience working on the web platform, he said, "Web platforms give you more space to explore such kind of roles which are very bold and dynamic. I haven't played such grey characters before but web series provides that platform and scope. I would love to do such kind of roles on web platform in future."

The Red Land also stars Abhimanyu Singh, Flora Saini, and Shaleen Bhanot.
