A still from `Tum Mili`
Actor Siddharth Nigam makes his debut as a singer and lyricist, with the upcoming 'Tum Mili.' The actor opens up about the song with mid-day.com.
How did the idea of making a singing debut come about?
I always do things that are outside my comfort zone. My fans had been requesting that they wanted to hear me sing, since a long time. That's how I thought of writing and singing otherwise I would have never tried it. Now people see me as a complete package.
Tell us about the video and its concept?
This music video is very different from my previous ones because I have given my ideas and concept. There is no story but there are a lot of moments that will make you connect with the music. We have captured happy moments beautifully. Not just my inputs the video also has my mum's ideas for the clothes that I have worn. My mum is my inspiration. Our director Jay has a vision that is very youthful and international.

Which artistes inspire you?
In terms of work and professionalism, I look up to Shah Rukh Khan sir, I love his entire persona. What motivates me to do better is myself. I'm here to compete with myself.
Do people still talk to you about Aladdin? Where do we see you next?
I'm glad that people love my work and it is being appreciated. After 'Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat,' I would wonder what could be bigger? But 'Aladdin Naam Toh Suna Hoga,' had its own fan base and gave me so much love. Now my fans are expecting to see me in a film and I'm preparing for that.
