Sohum Shah, best known for his peculiar and unusual choices of roles, was recently seen in the web series 'Maharani', essaying the role of Bheema Bharti, a politician. His previous work in 'Ship of Theseus', 'The Big Bull' and 'Tumbadd' was widely appreciated and this time around too, the actor has managed to earn applauds. His performance in the recently released Maharani is being widely appreciated by audiences and critics alike.
Sohum plays Bheema Bharti, a politician who has risen from the lower strata of society to become chief minister of Bihar. Huma Qureshi plays his wife Rani, an illiterate homemaker who rises to the highest level of political power in the state after a twist of fate.

Reminiscing the shoot days of 'Maharani', Sohum, on Saturday, shared a video on Instagram, and wrote alongside, "I miss the crew and on-set madness just as much as I miss my moustache. #Maharani"

The actor slipped into the role of a politician, for the web series. He transformed physically for this role while also getting hands-on with the Bihari dialect. He also grew a thick moustache for this role that he quite evidently misses the most.
Sohum will next be seen in thriller series 'Fallen' that marks Bollywood star Sonakshi Sinha's foray into OTT space. The Reema Kagti series also features Vijay Varma and Gulshan Devaiah.
