A still from Helllo Jee
Nyra Banerjee and Rahul Sharma, who feature in ALTBalaji's web series, Helllo Jee, celebrated the success of the show, along with actor buddies Kashish Rai and Akshaya Shetty in Igatpuri. Away from the Mumbai heat, they enjoyed some downtime in the pool. On the small screen front, Sharma was seen on Pyaar Ki Luka Chuppi and Banerjee on Excuse Me Maadam. With the digital medium providing opportunities for television actors, they are keen to explore new options.
Two reasons convinced Nyra Banerjee to take up ALTBalaji's Hello Jee - the script and the fact that she didn't have to expose, despite playing a bold character. She says, "I am not showing skin, so the audience will connect with my emotions." In another interaction, she talked about dabbling with films as well and the difference in the mediums in terms of expectations. She said, "With films, we know we will be done in 2 months. You have to give your everything in those 2 months but with television, you have to give the same kind of consistency every single day."
She added, "You have to work hard every day. I feel that, at least in TV, even if you are not very good in one scene, you can manage it. Of course, I can't be lazy about it but we still have a lot of scenes to perform better." Talking about the kind of films she wants to be a part of, she said, "I really want to be part of a nice romantic film which will also have some action. I have done drama, I am doing comedy. I know that movies are not very easy and sometimes projects have slipped from my hand to someone else too. I face this so many times. I don't know how the film world is going to be for me but I really would like to do a nice romantic film."
