Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah's 'Jalsa' features a role of a child with cerebral palsy played by an actor with the same disability, in what the film's director and cast call a rare sign of inclusivity in one of the world's largest film industry. The film talks deeply about the relationship of the mother and her son. And, Surya Kasibhatla, a 14-year-old from Texas, of Indian origin who has cerebral palsy, plays Balan's son, which is being appreciated all across. His performance has not just touched the heart of audiences, but has also been an inspiration for many.
Amazon Prime Video released the behind-the-scenes video that journeys through the process of learning and working with the cheerful Surya. The cast and crew of Jalsa were amazed and pleasantly surprised to see Surya wade his way through tough scenes with utmost dedication and charm.
