Sacred Games 2: "Kabhi kabhi lagta hai ki apun hi bhagwan hai..." Who can forget this mighty dialogue? Not only did this dialogue become a catchphrase for Sacred Games fans, but it also ended up becoming fodder for memes on social media. Be that as it may, Sacred Games was renewed for a new season, which released in 2019, and fans gobbled it up as soon as it landed on Netflix. For the first Indian original Netflix series, Sacred Games season one and two did pretty well in the digital space.

Inside Edge 2: An Amazon Prime show based on a fictional T20 cricket team, Mumbai Mavericks, that plays in the Power-Play League, Inside Edge was quite sensational in its first season. And going by reviews, Inside Edge 2 as well has got cricket fans excited.  Mumbaikars, especially the die-hard fans of the game, got to know the flip side of the coin with various aspects that go into making the sports industry. The show worked so well, in fact, that the makers are already busy working on the post-production of the third season!

Made In Heaven: Another web show that stood out was Made in Heaven that followed the lives of two wedding planners in Delhi, Tara and Karan. Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti created the show, and they wrote it with Alankrita Shrivastava of Lipstick Under My Burkha fame. The show that had a backdrop of big fat Indian weddings and modern sensibilities of contemporary Delhi was well-liked by audiences.

Bard Of Blood: Netflix's Bard Of Blood was Emraan Hashmi's debut digital stint and something that catapulted the actor back into the limelight. The show is based on Bilal Siddiqi's spy thriller novel. Hashmi portrays the character of an intelligence agent on a mission to rescue Indian agents captured by the Taliban, and the web show was admired for his gripping content.

The Family Man: Manoj Bajpayee is Srikant Tiwari, a man who strives for the respect of his family, struggles to achieve career goals, aims for better remuneration — all this while saving the country from the deadliest attacks possible. Directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK of Go Goa Gone fame, The Family Man was so good that fans demanded a second season of the show!

Broken But Beautiful 2: If you wanted something to take your mind off some of the dark, gritty web shows we've mentioned above, then season 2 of Broken But Beautiful should do the trick. According to a mid-day review, Broken But Beautiful is 'every shade of filmy and feel-good romance'. The series focusses on how past emotional baggage can affect relationships. Relate, much?

Delhi Crime: This web series is set in the aftermath of the 2012 Delhi gang rape so if you're someone who can't bear to relive the details of the horrendous incident, you may want to keep away from it. The show, however, was led extremely well by the utterly brilliant Shefali Shah as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Vartika Chaturvedi, who is tasked to find the culprits responsible for the assault and death of the victim we all now know as Nirbhaya.

Four More Shots Please: Directed by Anu Menon, Four More Shots Please is the kind of web show that you will love if you appreciate flawed, and yet strong, female characters. The series follows four young women, two in their 30s and two in their 20s, who fall in love, make mistakes, and sail through life all the while understanding what makes them click. 

Cast: Sayani Gupta, Kirti Kulhari, Bani J and Maanvi Gagroo.

Criminal Justice: Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and Vishal Furia, Criminal Justice is based on the British TV drama by the same name by Peter Moffat. The show captures Aditya Sharma's (portrayed by Vikrant Massey) journey after one incident completely turns his life around. Picture this: Aditya is a cab driver who has a one-night stand with a passenger, who ends up murdered the next day. Chilling, right!

The Office: If you're a fan of the British sitcom by the same name, the Indian version of The Office might impress you too. The series depicts a 9 to 5 office scenario, where the boss tries to keep employee morale up by trying to get friendly (sometimes way too friendly) with them. He, however, fails miserably and his lame jokes never impress his employees. Perfect weekend binge, we think!

Feet Up With The Stars 2: A Voot original, Feet Up With The Stars 2 is a chat show with an all-new format. It involves getting up, close and personal with the celebrity in an intimate setting. Host Anaita Shroff Adajania hosts the show well and B-town celebs tend to open up to her more often than not.

Little Things: Everyone's favourite couple Kavya Kulkarni and Dhruv Vats are back with season 3 of the web series and fans can't keep calm! Little Things is the kind of show you'd like to binge on with your better half on a rainy day while lazing around all day long. The story revolves around a couple in a live-in relationship in Mumbai. If you haven't watched it yet, well you have three seasons to gobble up, so hurry!

Roar Of The Lion: Another show to interest sports fans is Roar Of The Lion, which is more of a biographical series based on the inimitable MS Dhoni. The show, produced by Kabir Khan, follows the IPL team Chennai Super Kings led by Dhoni, who returned to the IPL in 2018 after a two-year ban for allegedly being involved in the 2013 spot-fixing scandal.

TVF Tripling 2: Are you a fan of road trips? No, scrap that. Do you like going on road trips with your siblings? If the answer is yes, or even no for that matter, then TVF Tripling is the best web show for you. It's based on the lives of three siblings Chandan, Chanchal and Chitvan, and how they start a hilarious journey to rediscover themselves and the bond they share.
