It is often difficult to make this complex decision: What is more disturbing? Another picture of a classmate grinning in front of the Eiffel Tower or the one after that with the protagonist in a meditative pose atop a serene peak, getting creative in the caption about themselves or employing Rumi for the job.

Travel has come to mean things that it did not mean before to the travellers. For instance, second-class train travel could very soon be more expensive than the air-conditioned berths and sold as an experience. And it is almost politically incorrect to dislike travel.

Your best travel is the new social media torment on our Monday mornings, as the list of standards to meet up to keeps getting longer. Did your trip feature a bike? Did you write profound things about roads (playing around with Jack Kerouac's legendary title unknowingly)? Was there a beach with bikini? A song-and-dance sequence?

No? Then you may find thoughts to connect with and possibly shed a tear of relief at the stand-up show Duty Free Travel by Chalta Hai Comedy, this weekend.

The organisers claim that they are putting together a show "to tell you it's okay not to document your entire journey from your slippers to train toilets. It is also okay not to particularly enjoy the hardships of travel or the pressure to make it ‘the best trip evahh!" Duty Free Jokes aims to inject some sarcasm and wit to the all-too-serious business of travel.

In the show, Sonali Thakker will narrate her solo backpacking adventures, Punit Pania will talk about covering every state of the country on a salesman's motorcycle and Kautuk Srivastava will share stories about travelling with friends who are also barely adult like him. There will also be a song in there somewhere.
