Most nature lovers would agree that few things could compare to counting the stars in a clear night sky
Most nature lovers would agree that few things could compare to counting the stars in a clear night sky. Tarangan, a group of amateur astronomers, is back with its special summer night sky watching workshop at Aajol, a farm in Khopoli.
The programme will include an introduction to the galaxy and different objects in the sky, observations through the telescope (using an 8-inch Newtonian reflector telescope with a Dobsonian mount) discussions and interactive sessions. Planets Venus, Jupiter and its four moons, Saturn, the largest moon Titan, nebulae and double star systems, open star clusters, and globular clusters will be under observation.
Tip: Please carry your mattress for seating on open ground, water bottle, small torch, insect repellent (Aajol being a farm, insects are an integral part of it).
