Ustad Karamatullah Khan Music Festival is organised each year to celebrate the best in Indian Classical music and dance. This three-day festival is an annual property curated by Showhouse Event Management and the Karamatullah Khan family for the last decade. Ustad Karamatullah Khan was the doyen of the Farukkhabad Gharana of Tabla, and the most preferred tabla
accompanist to the top musicians of his time.

Originally started in Kolkata, the festival has made an impact in Mumbai, and plans to head to other cities. The main objective is to get the youth to connect with their roots and enthuse them by presenting the best musicians - upcoming as well as accomplished. This event has previously hosted artistes like Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pandit Ravi Shankar, Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia and Pandit Birju Maharaj among others.

This year too, each of the performers comes with international repute, having performed extensively around the world. The list of reputed artistes include Seema Mehta (kathak), Hidayat Khan (sitar), Raza Ali Khan (vocal), Niladri Kumar (sitar), Begum Parveen Sultana (vocals), Ayaan Ali Khan (sarod), Rashid Khan (vocals).

Banyan Tree Events is back with the 14th edition of its thematic music festival Barkha Ritu that presents the monsoon ragas. The festival that was first launched in 2001 will be held in seven cities across India, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad. The Mumbai concert of this music festival will feature the talented Rahul Sharma (santoor) and one of the finest vocalists Ustad Rashid Khan (vocals).
The festival will also see performances from stalwarts like Ustad Shujaat Khan, Prasanna, Dr B Vijayagopal, Sanjeev Abhyankar, Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Devaki Pandit and Shounak Abhisheki in other cities.
