From the trio who consider 'speaking' blasphemous, comes forth the recipe that promises to tickle your funny bone till you drop down laughing. Mime'Ers, as they call themselves are coming on stage this Saturday at The Hive. Heena D'Souza, Vaibhav Raj Gupta and Shivankit Parihar are going to present a three mime-act play.
The Mime'Ers during a performance
The acts are, Love (not) At First Sight, The Interview and Death Takes Vengeance. Love (not) At First Sight is the story of a girl without a tooth, who has finally found her prince (apparently) charming. The seemingly sensitive issue is made hilarious by the Mime'Ers.
It is followed by their next act, The Interview, which is the story of two men struggling for the same job. The act uses satire to present this turmoil. The final act, slips away from the conventional storylines as it puts forward a horror comedy exploiting the tension between a couple.
Being a tad tentative about the not-widely-practised art and on his expectations from this Saturday, Vaibhav Raj Gupta said, "What we are going to do is, we are not going to say anything at all. We will just perform. And let the audience speak after the performance."
On: April 25, 7 pm to 8 pm
At: The Hive, Chuim Village Road, off Union Park, opposite Ahmed Bakery, Khar (W).
