A four-day-long Youth Creative Conclave organised for writers and artists by India's leading short stories portal, StoryMirror, was launched in Mumbai on Wednesday.
"StoryMirror, which gives platforms to budding authors, will hold around 25 creative online and offline events and workshops for university and college students till January 21, in which we are bringing together almost 80 colleges of Mumabi and Navi Mumbai," CEO of the portal, Devendra Jaisawal, said. "Today, we held our first day of conclave in SNDT University and will hold next days of conclaves in Thakur College and Amlani college. Our line of events cover topics like story and poetry writing and recitation, paintings and street plays, writers¿ workshops etc," he said.
Talking about the objective behind the Conclave, Jaisawal said, "Our objective is to explore hidden creative capabilities amongst the youth and give them a platform to exhibit their talent and to reward them with prizes also as we are going to distribute the prize money upto Rs 2.40 lakh." StoryMirror is young and budding entrant into the field of publishing books. It started its activities in March 2016 and in the 10 months of entering into publishing, it has launched 32 books in 3 languages- Hindi, Odia and English. It has also started conducting workshops for creative writings in Chennai, New Delhi and Mumbai.
