A film relives the legacy of the 150-year-old David Sassoon Reading Room and Library
The interiors of the library
All of you who might have stepped into the hallowed interiors of The David Sassoon Library and Reading Room, and have wondered about its many treasures, this might be a great opportunity to know more about this landmark. To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the library, a series of events were held at the space from last week.
The weeklong itinerary closes with the screening of Hall of Knowledge, a film by Arvind Dave, a member of the library for over 30 years. The film talks of the Library as a heritage structure and space for seeking knowledge, and as a cultural icon of Mumbai.
