Own a piece of Hollywood memorabilia

There is good news for Hollywood fans in India. StoryLTD, a service of Saffronart, will organise an online auction of popular Hollywood film posters.

For the first time, Indian art admirers will get an opportunity to view original prints of Hollywood posters, lobby cards, and publicity stills at the Hollywood Film Memorabilia auction.

This first-of-its-kind online auction allows movie buffs to get their hands on some of the most celebrated Hollywood movie posters on one platform. This includes cult classics like the 007 films, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, and more.

Started in 2013 by Dinesh Vazirani, this online auction and e-commerce platform serves a broader base. "The idea was to provide an online resource for collectibles.

We curate objects based on aesthetics, limited availability, rarity and those with a story.

It's a separate brand, which is a part of Saffronart. Despite being a premium brand, there are a lot more accessibly-priced products than collectibles from Saffronart.

We are an online service as opposed to Saffronart which does online and offline events," says Nish Bhutani, Chief Operating Officer, Saffronart.

StoryLTD has been holding a number of no-reserve online auctions, which have been received well.

"We have e-commerce sales and auction sales. Unlike usual auctions, we don't have a set reserve price, which means that there is no fixed amount for buyers to start the bid from. We sell at 20% below overseas rates, and exclusively online, unlike Saffronart."

Butani shares that they have a network of dealers, collectors and patrons built over 15 years, and so, are able to source from various points. Having auctioned Bollywood memorabilia before, they felt that Hollywood movies would be equally sought-after.
