SpielZeit is a word game event that both beginner and advanced level learners of the language should sign up for
Board games are always great not just for a friends' night in but also as learning tools. Max Mueller Bhavan (MMB) has taken a cue by giving it a German twist.

To help those learning German add some fun to their routine, the library at MMB has put together SpielZeit (meaning play time) an evening of games to ace your German skills. "We have ordered a few games from Germany that will help learners practise the language.
The games include German Scrabble, picture cards, grammar and sentence construction games and more. Participants have to speak in German," says organiser Swati Gajakose. The event can also be a platform for native German speakers in the city to interact with Indians learning the language.
For this, SpielZeit will also have games for native speakers. The games will be played in small groups (4-5 each), which is why people need to register in advance. The entry to the event is free and is open to non-members of the Goethe Institut too.
