The games, organised by Yaariyan the youth wing of Humsafar Trust, will have events like three-legged race, potato race, tug of war and cricket among others. The idea, according to Darshil Shroff, a core member of Yaariyan, is to give members of the LGBT community a chance to enjoy sports of this kind as many of them did not get a chance to be a part of such activities while growing up.
Each event will have a nominal registration fee - Rs 20 for lemon and spoon race and Rs 50 for three-legged race - and the money collected will be used to fund such events.

"The Q Games is a trip down the memory lane to the famous childhood games. Just like the many obstacles in the games the lives of LGBT people are full of obstacles too. But the games tell us that there is victory at the end," says Shroff. He informed that the Queer Pride, a culmination of events which the games kick off, will be held on February 6 at the August Kranti Maidan.
