The Indian Planetary Society and India First Foundation School (IFFS) at Karjat are hosting a Star Gazing Night for kids
This summer, kids can enjoy a session on star gazing thanks to an initiative by Indian Planetary Society and India First Foundation School (IFFS), a residential school at Karjat. The Star Gazing Night will feature Dr JJ Rawal, President of Indian Planetary Society and the Director of Nehru Planetarium along with scientists of Indian Planetary Society.
Learn to identify different stars and planets through this session
The idea behind the event is to help students learn about stars and planets. Star gazing refers to observing the stars in the night sky and can be done any time of the year and enjoyed by couples, families, friends, or alone. No special equipment needs to be bought, and it can be done almost anywhere.
Dr Rawal will personally help students learn more about stars, planets and the Milky Way. The telescope will be placed and students will get an opportunity to get closer to the stars. The event is open for all students. They will be allowed to stay back as per availability of rooms.
