Catch Magicscapes, a solo exhibition that reveals the beauty of Pune through landscapes by artist Ravi Songirkar at the Bliss Art GalleryA walk into Bliss Art Gallery and the paintings on display may make you forget your reality for a while. The beautiful landscapes on display are part of artist Ravi Songirkar's exhibition titled Magicscapes.
Most of the paintings have a nature-connect, whether it is a painting set in the effervescent city or one about the quiet countryside. "I love nature and it is my only inspiration.
My paintings on display are of landscapes and seascapes and that's how the name Magicscapes was coined," explains the artist.
Many of his paintings are set in Pune. "You will find areas like Sus Road, Lakdi Pul, Corporation Road, Atti village and FC Road in my paintings. I have Pune on canvas," reveals Songirkar.
Ravi has used watercolours and oil pastels as the medium.

"I have been part of this profession for 20 years and for the past 5 years, I have focused on landscape painting," he says adding, "I have also done many on the spot paintings, where many people gather to see me at work. I love the attention," he admits.
When asked what advice he would like to give young budding painters he says, "Your painting should connect to the people and should create magic."
