The film deals with the extremes to which workers go to earn a living and showcases the plight of miners of Donets Basin; Ukraine, sulphur carriers in Ijen; Indonesia, butchers in an open-air market in Port Harcourt; Nigeria, welders in the Gadani ship-breaking yard in Pakistan, steel workers in Liaoning; China and youth in a former German industrial complex, which has been converted into a leisure park.
