Dear Diana,
I'm 25 and my ex-girlfriend is of the same age. We were going around for about two years and we thought we were made for each other. But things went wrong and she decided to go her way. She now goes around telling people that I dumped her. Isn't that unfair of her? Worse, nobody believes me when I say that she was the one who was in a haste to move on.

Dear Chiranjeev,
It is clear that this girl was not interested in you. She needed an excuse to walk away and as soon as she found one, she went her way. She can keep telling people what she wants, you cannot control it, but if you keep reacting to it, she will keep doing it even more. Turn a blind eye to her behaviour, people who matter to you know the truth and that is what is of importance. Better luck next time.
Dear Diana,
During our college days, I used to take pride in my boyfriend's sense of humour. He could crack jokes on anyone or anything - whenever you want. I married him and we've been together for more than a year now. Of late, I've noticed that I've become the butt of his jokes at family dinners and outing with friends. Initially, I thought he was being cute, but his attacks have risen drastically. Sometimes I laugh along with the rest because I don't want to come across as uncool. And at times, it hurts. What should I do?

Dear Sunidhi,
It appears that your husband has taken you for granted. All this while you laughed along so now he feels you can be the subject of his jokes. Many guys love to crack jokes about their wives - they feel it is a guy thing. So just laugh along and sometimes you can also crack a joke about him. This will be your way of letting him know how it feels to be on the other side of the fence.
