Dear Diana,
I am a 15-year-old boy studying in class 10. I like one of my classmates, but I haven't mustered enough courage to tell her. I keep looking at her in class. She talks to me sometimes, but I really wish she would talk to me all the time. I feel jealous when I see her talk to the other boys in the class. Other than my studies, the only thing on my mind is her. I try my level best to avoid thinking about her and concentrate on my studies as we will be appearing for the SSC exams next year. I keep wondering if I should tell her about my feelings. I don't know what to do as I am confused. Or should I just be her silent lover?

Dear Rahul,
It appears that you are infatuated by her. This is common at your age. Infatuation is the feeling of uncontrolled passion for a person and the urge to be with them at all times. At 15, there is still time for love. There is no point telling anyone about your feelings as you might just end up being the butt of class jokes. Also, you do not know what is on her mind, so she might just be taken aback with your declaration. For the moment, keep the conversations going. I am sure there are several topics like exams, teachers and homework that you can talk about to her. At this stage, first strike a friendship. Also, as you will be appearing for a board exam, studies need to be your top priority, the rest can wait.
