Wagh's works are mixed media on paper with pasted overlay of rice paper to create a unique textural effect. The city-based artist has been inspired by folk arts and its beauty from childhood and through her artworks she expresses mythical characters as free spirited and vibrant.
Wagh has toured the world with her creations and was awarded a senior artist fellowship in visual arts from the Ministry of Tourism in 2006 to study Chitrakathi style of paintings (Chitrakathi are a community of migrating story tellers found across Maharashtra and parts of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka).u00a0
Among her collection of paintings on display, we loved her images of goddess Saraswati and Durga, the image depicting women going to the riverfront, paintings of Hanuman, Kamadhenu, and Airawat.
