All you horoscope buffs out there, you might soon find your star sign changing. A prominent astronomer says that the gradual shift of the earth's axis over the last 3,000 years has caused everyone's star signs to change and that there are actually 13 star signs, as opposed to 12. So if the Inter-national Astronomical Union sanctions the change, Ophiuchus will be the new addition.

>>u00a0For starters, there have always been 13 constellations. Western astrology is derived from that of the ancient Babylonians, who created the star signs by tracking where the sun was in the sky each month. About 2,000 years ago, they decided to settle on an even number, 12.

>>u00a0Ophiuchus is a constellation that is situated behind the sun between November 29 and December 17. It is positioned between the constellations of Scorpio and Saggitarius.

>>u00a0Ophiuchus literally translates from Latin as 'serpent holder'. In fact, it is the only star sign to be named after a real person, a physician, Aesculapius, who once killed a serpent.

>>u00a0Individuals born under the star sign are supposed to be intelligent, honest, leaders, flamboyant and with strong intuitive powers.u00a0

>>u00a0They complement Aries, Leo, Sagittarius.
