The seventh Asian film Festival organised by Aashay Film Club and Kensho Events will be screening legendary national and international films. These films depict various emotions of life and are a must-watch for film buffs. This year, Turkey will also be joining u00a0other international entrants.

The festival will be inaugurated by u00a0eminent director Govind Nihalini. Opium War, an award winning film by Dr Siddique Barmark, will be showcased at the inaugural function. Kiran V Shantaram, chairman of Asian Film Foundation, will also grace the occasion along with different producers and directors whose movies are being screened at the festival.u00a0
Director Priyadarshan will be awarded with this year's Zenith Asia Award. Well-known producers and directors such as Sudhir Mishra and Shailendra Singh will also be felicitated with special awards.u00a0A total of 40 films from Japan, India, China, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Korea, Israel, Egypt and Bangladesh as well as 15 films from other Asian countries will be screened during the event. The top five films to watch out for are Thaneer Thaneer by K Balachander, Osama by Siddique Barmark, Postman in Mountain by Huo Jianqi, Ben's Biography by Dan Wolman and Children of Heaven by Majid Majidi.u00a0
