This VR-ready desktop replacement is capable of delivering low latency and stutter-free visuals, but at a price
The G-series is the premium gaming line-up from Asus appealing to those who want nothing but the best and are willing to pay top price for it.
The G752VS is powered by Intel Skylake i7 6820 processor, Geforce GTX 1070 graphics, 8GB DDR4 RAM (expandable upto 64GB), 512GB SSD, 1TB 7200RPM HDD storage and a 17.3-inch FHD G-SYNC Display with 178-degree viewing angles.
The 3D Mobile Vapour Chamber, combined with the copper heat pipe, creates an effective cooling system that improves GPU performance by up to 6 per cent for stable gaming. The technology enables the included GTX 1070 to be efficiently cooled down to safe operating temperatures.
Nvidia's exclusive G-SYNC technology synchronises the display's refresh rate with the graphic card to deliver smooth visuals. It avoids lag, minimises stutter and eliminates visual tearing. Coming back to the body, it looks quite stacked, port-wise.
On the left side is a Kensington lock, 2xUSB 3.0, DVD drive and a SD card reader. To the right we have headphone, mic, line-in, USB Type-C 2nd Gen and Thunderbolt 3, 2x USB 3.0, Mini-Display Port, HDMI, RJ45 Ethernet and AC power. Shockingly, the front is free of ports while the rear has ventilation grilles.
The backlit keyboard is sufficiently big with a gap of 3mm between them and key travel of under 2.5mm. The cherry on top comes with the matte finish, which makes the keyboard perfect for intense gaming sessions. It also has anti-ghosting technology with a 30-key rollover for precise input.
