To draw attention to this, Child Rights and You (CRY) has launched a nationwide campaign, titled Click Rights: For the Girl Child. The 40-day national citizen photojournalism campaign encourages people to showcase the issues faced by the girl child in accessing education.u00a0
The theme of the campaign is Ichha - A Desire to Learn. The campaign kickstarted on August 28 with an online photography campaign, followed by an on-ground exhibition of short listed pictures in five cities - Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai.
Join the movement and shoot the girl children in your neighborhood, around your work place, college, in and around the city who are not in school. The pictures can then be uploaded on to the campaign's website until October 5. The selected photographs will be displayed at an on-ground exhibition in the city on October 6 and 7 prior to the International Day of the Girl, celebrated on October 11.
