The Pune Festival 2011 that started last week has a host of interesting events and fun activities for art and culture enthusiasts of Pune
Pune Festival 2011 opened doors to Pune's culture and art enthusiasts last week. The ongoing festival has been organised by The People of Pune, Pune Festival Committee, Dept of Tourism Govt. of India and Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation. The festival will go on till September 11 and will see a host of interesting events.
If you love food and think you can dish out some amazing dishes, participate in the Mahila Mahotsav -- Recipe Competition that will be held today. The event will be held at the Yashwantrao Chavan Kaladalan and will begin at 10 am. The evening promises a fun time as the Marathi play Nath Ha Maza will be staged. The play promises to tickle your funny bone. Bring the day to an end with soulful ghazals by Anwar Qureshi.
September 8 will see a lot of interesting activities and programmes held through the day. Head to Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagruha for a dance competition for females (above 20 years). This will be followed by three events including Lavani Mahotsav -- Natkhat Apsara, Saptrang (dance) and Marathi Hasyakavi Sammelan.
September 9 and 10, have a lot in store for the festival goers, including another round of Lavani Mahotsav -- Natkhat Lavanyavati, Kolhapur Mahotsav, Vasantotsav by Parag Mategonkar and Marathi play Aadhi Basu Mag Bolu.
