Head to Malaka Spice to see colourful canivals and masquerades reflected in artist Sneha Rathi's paintings
The bright, lively paintings displayed at Malaka Spice are sure to lift up your spirits. Artist Sneha Rathi's paintings bring alive the joy and excitement of the carnivals and masquerades of Goa and Belgium on canvas.
"I get very excited looking at the head gears and masks participants wear. In my paintings each face is covered with either a head-gear or a mask. I haven't shown their faces and have used heavy textures on the face. There is lots of gold added to make them look elegant and enhance their beauty," explains Rathi.

Apart from carnivals, Vastu Shastra is something that interests her and forms the subject for many of her works. Many of her abstract paintings are based on Vastu shastra. "The ultimate aim of Vastu Shashtra is to balance all the energies and usher in Sukh (happiness), Shanti (peace) and Samridhhi (prosperity). According to the scientific principles based on Vastu Shashtra the right placement of these paintings can channelise and focus positive cosmic energy into your home and life," she says. It took Rathi almost six months to complete her work and put up this exhibition. Around 15 paintings in oil and acrylic are on display at Malaka Spice till
