The food joint Grubshup at Law College Road has started an open Art Gallery to give budding artists a platform to showcase their art. The Gallery has been inaugurated with an exhibition of paper sculptures by Satish Ghatpande
Walk into Grubshup, and apart from delicious food, you will also get to feast your eyes on beautiful artworks by Satish Ghatpande. With the aim of promoting new talent, the food joint has started an open art gallery and paper sculptures made by Ghatpande are the first entrants into this Gallery. The paper sculptures of birds, flowers and monuments represent the work of a very talented artist. Ghatpande has given a 2D and 3D effect to many of his works, making them even more appealing to the audience. The sculptures of Ganpati, the landscapes and an aquarium with an oceanic view are some of his best works.

"Anyone can exhibit their works hereu00a0-- amateurs, professionals or even students. We hope this will make art more accessible and affordable for society. Artists who want to display their art will neither have to pay anything for displaying nor will they have to share any proceedings of the sale with Grubshub," says Paranjape. Through the month there will be three slots of 10 days each.u00a0 One slot is dedicated for senior artists and another for amateurs, art students or those who take art as a hobby. So if you have a creative streak, here's your chance to display your talent.
