On World Environment Day, The guide decided to give our readers a bird's eye view of the truth. This recreated map reveals an appalling reality ufffd of the lack of green spaces in Mumbai, and of the growing dangers that continue to cause a threat to our beloved city. See, believe, and act now!

From grey to green
>> Conserve old trees. The concept of cut one plant and plant ten doesn't always work as it takes time for a tree to grow and be a habitat for insects and birds.
>>u00a0u00a0Plant native species of trees like mango, jackfruit, silk cotton and laburnum. That doesn't mean that other trees such as gulmohur are harmful.
>>u00a0u00a0While at the National Park, avoid littering and creating noise pollution.
>>u00a0u00a0While travelling across areas like Ghodbunder Road, take care while driving so you don't run over animals who may live in the forests nearby.
>>u00a0u00a0While immersing religious offerings in water bodies, remove plastic bags or better, use itu00a0for composting.
